The Difference Between Buy Out Shops,
 Most Consignment Shops and
Elite Repeat:

Most buy out shops like Plato’s Closet ® and Buffalo Exchange ® do not require you to have your items on hangers. They pay you immediately for your items but only offer you a fraction of their value. Most Consignment shops require you to have your items freshly laundered ironed and on hangers. You earn 40% or 50% of what the item sells for. You drop them off, they sell them and you pick up a check on a designated “payout period” the following month.

Why Hangers You Ask?
It's because your time is valuable. Items hung on hangers are much easier to look over, inspect, process and sell. It speeds the process along and gets you on your way faster. When items aren't on hangers, it can be a little overwhelming to the consignor when they are "searching" for that "right hanger" amid our giant hanger rack! It can become a gridlock of consignors trying to hang items and employees trying to inspect items. If you combine this with other consignors waiting to drop off we have a traffic jam and major confusion. We also have to be fair to our consignors that do bring their clothing in on hangers.

Consignors that bring in their items and clothing "rack ready" will be processed before those requiring more attention.
Rack Ready means Pressed, Snapped, Buttoned, Tied, and Ready to Go.

Elite Repeat requires your items to be freshly laundered and on hangers. You earn 40 to 50% of what the item sells for. The Difference At Elite Repeat is you don’t have to wait until the following month for a check. As soon as your item/s sells you can come in and pick up your money as long as you have at least $10.00. If it’s less than $10.00 you may use it as store credit or wait until more items sell and pick up
 $10 +

How to Make the Most From Your Consignment:

Check your items over very carefully with lots of good light. Any spot or stain will put an item in the "NO Thank You" pile as will "Smoke" or other odors. Please have them freshly laundered before bringing.

Please check:
Collars
Cuffs
Underarms
Crotch areas

A good presentation will increase the value of the items you are selling. Remember your items are in competition with others.

A good website to visit about consigning is:

You will need at least 20 accepted
clothing items to start an account.
Clothing must be ironed (or straight from the dryer) on hangers, gently used, freshly laundered, smoke, musty, mothball, and pet hair free. Wire hangers are acceptable. We do not count shoes or toys towards the 20 items. After you are an accepted consignor you may bring in less than 20 items to drop off. You are welcome to make your own inventory list if you'd like but we won't need it. Our sophisticated consignment software will keep track of all the details, so you don't have to worry!

No appointment is necessary
we accept consignments during regular business hours. However, if it is your first time to consign you may need to allow about 30 minutes for us to look through and select the items that we feel are acceptable for consignment.

There are no yearly or set up fees to open an account.
As soon as your item/items are sold and posted to your account, you may pick up your money. Payouts are available anytime during regular business hours.

Elite Repeat retains 50% of the selling price on items priced above $6 dollars and 60% on items priced $5.99 or less. Consignment period is 2 months. Any
unsold items priced for $5.99 or less will not be returned to the consignor upon the expiration of consignment.
Seasonal (with the exception of Ski Wear) items are NOT returned to consignor if unsold. Consignors are responsible for notifying Elite Repeat no sooner than 5 days before expiration to set up an appointment to pull any unsold items priced more than $5.99 Consignors are responsible for pulling their own items.

Items with an undetected defect will be marked down early or posted as donated without notice to the consignor.  All unsold expired items become property of "Elite Repeat".

Sorry, no out-dated clothes. Clothing items need to be newer than 2 years because styles change rapidly.

Keep in mind when you are gathering things to consign if you didn't pay at least $10.00 for the item new we can't sell it for the minimum of $5.99

We do not accept Plush animals, VHS tapes, games and books. You are welcome to bring them however, very few if any will be inventoried to your account since we donate most to teachers or day cares or offer them as an incentive to the children.

The brands we generally do not accept are Faded Glory, White Stag, Circo, Xhilaration, Forever 21, Wet Seal, Rue 21, Simply Basic, Cherokee, and Garanimals.  Essentially, we usually will NOT accept clothing from Kmart, Target, WalMart or other discount stores.

Have you purchased our dollar items?  They are from our Generous Consignors that participate in our Share Program. Please consider participating to keep it going.

Items that have a small spot or do not meet the minimum price requirement are tagged for $1.00 which does NOT post to a consignors account. It's voluntary and helps everyone by offering clothing at an affordable price.

In order to continue offering clothes at competitive prices it has become necessary for us to limit our inventory.  Items that
HAVE NOT
sold well for the shop and will not be accepted are onesies, sleepers, socks, hats, plain tees even some of the name brands like Old Navy, Gosh, and Gap. Sometimes if it's a 2 or 3 piece outfit and all pieces are the same size we can accept it for consignment.

Old Navy, Gosh, Gap Jeans, jean skorts, and shorts
size 8 & under are usually acceptable if they are in very good used condition.

Sizes 10 and up must be brands like Justice, Abercrombie, Tony Hawk, Polo, Ralph Lauren, Baby Phat, Ecko, Roxy, True Religion, Seven, O'Neill, Hurley, Urban Outfitters, Juicy, Etc.

We DO NOT accept Old Navy, Gap, Gosh, Levi in size 10 and up unless
they are Husky sizes.

Hang your items with the hook pointing to the left if you are facing it. Make a question mark with the hanger.

Hang sets together but on separate hangers. This makes it easier for examination. Don't use safety pins, sometimes safety pins will leave a hole in the fabric. If it is an outfit with bottoms, bloomers, hat or a bib, try hanging the matching bottoms etc. by slipping the hanger neck through the middle of the tag.

Hang pants front facing so we can see the knees. If they have cinches in the waist button them on the last button hole that makes them the larger size not the smaller size.  The same applies to skirts, skorts, and shorts.

Clothing that is clean, smells fresh and has been pressed, with buttons and zippers closed look newer and generally sell better and faster.  So, zip, button, expand the cinches, and cut loose hanging threads.

Large toys and outdoor play equipment must be clean, no dirt or water. If you don't have a pressure washer or a spray nozzle on your water hose, the car wash works great!

Shoes must be in excellent (like new) condition.  Many times you can wash them in your washing machine. Just throw them in with some old towels and set them out to dry.

Toys must have batteries installed. Customers won’t buy a toy if they are not sure it works. Cheap batteries from the dollar store will do. Please install them before you consign the toy. Customers won't buy a dirty toy either so give it a quick clean up before bringing in. An old toothbrush is great for getting into those hard to clean crevices.

Baby furniture, equipment and toys should be clean and have all parts. Do a double check even if you cleaned it before storing. Spots have a way of showing up mysteriously.

Please make sure your items are not on a recall list.
